Lustrous Spessartine garnet. Its a vibrant manganese-aluminum garnet prized for its fiery, bright orange to reddish-orange colors, often called "mandarin garnet" and has intense color. It forms in pegmatites and metamorphic rocks, with a hardness of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, making it ideal for jewelry. Measure is 1.5 by 1.25 inch. This was in a perky box but its too large for the box and we removed it. It will come without the box. Found in Tongbei, Yunxiao Co., Zhangzhou, Fujian, China
